As members of the Dana community, we commit to the success of our school by making this pledge:

I will be a trustworthy person: I will be honest. I won’t cheat or steal. I will have the courage to do the right thing. I will be a loyal friend.

I will be a caring person: I will be kind and compassionate to others. I will say please and thank you. I will forgive others. I will help others. I will think before I speak.

Is it True? Is it Helpful? Is it Inspiring? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind?

I will be respectful: I will treat others as I want to be treated. I will use good manners. I will not use bad language. I will be considerate of the feelings of others. I will not threaten, hit, or hurt anyone. I will take the time to communicate my feelings and listen to the thoughts and feelings of others.

I will be responsible: I will think before I act or speak. When I make a mistake, I will take responsibility for my words, actions, and attitudes. I will set a good example for others. I will do my best. I will be on time to school and won’t leave school early.

I will be fair: I will play by the rules. I will take turns and share. I will listen to others. I will treat everyone fairly.

I will be a good citizen: I will do my share to make my school better. I will obey school rules. I will respect my teachers and other staff members.

I will engage in scholarly behavior: I will avoid distractions to my learning environment. I will have high expectations for myself. I won’t put myself down. I will do my best and remember that failure is normal!

No amenazaré, golpearé ni heriré a nadie. Me tomaré el tiempo para comunicar mis sentimientos y escuchar los pensamientos y sentimientos de los demás.

Yo voy a ser responsable: Pensaré antes de actuar o hablar. Cuando cometa un error, asumiré la responsabilidad de mis palabras, acciones y actitudes. Daré un buen ejemplo. Haré mi mejor esfuerzo. Llegaré a tiempo a la escuela y no saldré temprano.

Yo voy a ser justo/a: Jugaré con las reglas. Tomaré turnos y compartiré. Escucharé a los demás. Trataré a todos con justicia.

Yo voy a ser un/a buen/a ciudadano/a: Haré mi parte para mejorar mi escuela. Obedeceré las reglas escolares. Respetaré a mis maestros/as y al personal de la escuela.

Yo voy a participar con comportamiento estudiantil: Evitaré distracciones en mi entorno de aprendizaje. Tendré altas expectativas de mí mismo/a. No me menospreciaré. ¡Haré mi mejor esfuerzo y recordaré que el fracaso es normal!
